Victoria, Lady de Rothschild Contemporary Craft Collection
Heritage in Contemporary Craft | The Collection of Victoria, Lady de Rothschild
Auction 12 - 21 September 2023
Maak is honoured to present the extraordinary Contemporary Craft Collection of the late Victoria, Lady de Rothschild.
An avid collector known for her exquisite taste, Lady de Rothschild built up this significant collection of contemporary craft by leading international makers over a twenty year period.
The auction has allowed for the unique opportunity to present a curated installation of the collection at Ascott House, the historic residence of the de Rothschild family and former home of Victoria. This exhibition brings together two important periods in Victoria’s life, with the unique heritage setting proving an intriguing contrast to the contemporary craftsmanship of today.
The exhibition is open to the public until 10 September, prior to the collection being presented to the market at auction by Maak on 21 September 2023.
