Naoko Serino

(Japanese b.1962)

Naoko Serino describes her work as 'fiber art': three-dimensional expression using jute that contains light and air. It all looks delicate yet has an imposing presence. Her works reference biological structures and range from individual works to large scale installations.

She has won a number of awards and was featured in Fiber Futures: Japan’s Textile Pioneers exhibition which travelled from Japan to New York, Milan, Copenhagen and other venues.
