John Jordan

(American b.1950)

John Jordan has worked for over 30 years as a woodturner in Nashville, Tennessee. Each piece is turned on a lathe then hand carved and textured. His works are held in many major US permanent collections, and at the V&A, London.

'Many of the woods that I use are from the dump, construction sites etc. I find great satisfaction in creating elegant objects from material that was destined to be buried or burned.'
