Kate Malone

(British b.1959)

Kate Malone is best known for her sculptural, brightly coloured, and ornately decorated works. These are often inspired by nature, particularly the forms of fruits and vegetables, and feature her distinctive crystalline glazes. Alongside producing individual works in her studio, and her focus on glaze research, she has also worked on numerous public art projects and her works can be seen around the UK in schools, hospitals and parks. Kate Malone was appointed an MBE in 2019 for services to ceramics, and shortlisted for the LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize in 2022.
