Aneta Regal

(Polish b.1976)

Polish born artist, living, and working in London. She graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2006 rejecting the idea of a ‘potter’, she considers herself a sculptor who chooses clay as her medium. Her work is reflective of the natural world, creating an abstract interpretation with layered and tactile surfaces.

“I create objects that exist neither in the natural nor in the manufactured world. But once brought into being, it is my intent that they can reflect and transmit information and feelings about nature—and indeed, my own as well as the viewer's own existence”

Regal has exhibited globally including at the Tate Modern and Saatchi Gallery in London and further afield in the United States, Belgium and Poland. She is a member of the sculptors’ British Royal Company and has her work is held public collections in Korea, Germany, Sweden and the United States.
